As with any other startup run by families and friends, Richard and Ashley of Home Appliances Plus had a two-pronged goal when they came to xAgency – to establish themselves as a go-to home appliance and electronics ecommerce store in Australia and to build a profitable business to support their families.
They came to us in April of 2021, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and amidst the rollout of the iOS 14 update which brought upon new challenges for Facebook advertisers. In March 2021, they made $35,000 in revenue and in the previous months, they were making a little over $35,000 on a good month.
It was clear from the very beginning – we needed to build a profitable ecommerce framework centred around Facebook advertising and Google Adwords to acquire new customers.

From $35,000 in March 2021, Home Appliances Plus’ revenue jumped 183% to $75,000. Consistent growth has been recorded month-to-month. In July 2021, Home Appliances Plus made $225,000 in sales, a 594% increase from March 2021. The number of transactions jumped by 721% and ecommerce conversion rate improved by 4.64%. New customer acquisition, which was the crux of all marketing and sales efforts, skyrocketed by 665%.
As of the time of writing, Home Appliances Plus is en route to becoming a $5 million/year business before the end of 2021.
